This Session represents a concrete witness to the achievements of OESO through its Foundation and of its privileged relationship with UNESCO. It will be centered on the discussion of a clinical case which will benefit from direct interaction among specialists from various disciplines. The presentation will be a solid illustration of one of the most stimulating parts of the OESO program for Continuing Medical Education.

The summary of the patient file, selected for its particular interest in regards to diagnosis and treatment, figures at the end of this program. The discussion on the patient file by a multi-disciplinary panel will be a demonstration of how the conjunction of expert opinion can shed light on a problem, when the synthesis is made by specialists of the caliber of those who will be assembled on this occasion.

The recording of the Session will be used to illustrate in an original way, and to update, the answers given to certain questions of the OESO Knowledge Interactive Information System, currently comprising over 7,000 pages of questions and answers of the OESO Encyclopedia on Esophagology, set up following the original format of the OESO congresses.
