Benign lesion of the Esogastric Junction:
A 58-year-old woman who was closely monitored for several years for a typical leiomyoma located at the esophagogastric junction.
Operated after 8 years, by laparoscopic intra-gastric surgery (LIGS).
Topics for discussion:
- Intra luminal minimally invasive surgical approach for the management of gastric lesions requiring conservative gastric resections, notably submucosal tumors.
- What place should be reserved for LIGS between radical esophagogastrectomy and endoscopic resection?
- What are the ideal indications for LIGS?
